Public Summary
Using nanopore dRNA-seq and C. elegans genetics, we studied metazoan Nonsense-Mediated mRNA Decay (NMD). Our results support that SMG-5/6/7 act together in one endonuclease reaction, and that deadenylation is not a constitutive step of NMD.
