Oral presentation
RNA technology
Public Summary
The development of RNA drugs has reached an inflection point, paving the way for a new wave of precision gene therapies to treat undruggable diseases. Engineering non-viral RNA delivery technologies to meet the need for gene therapies targeted to specific cell-types or organs beyond hepatocytes remains a challenge. Here we report on a new class of materials refered Charge Altering Releasable Transporters (CARTs) for functional mRNA delivery to immune cells in spleen and its potential application in the development of cancer vaccines.
