Exploring a novel requirement for a PARK9 homolog in No-Go mRNA Decay in C. elegans

In a forward genetic screen, we identified the polyamine transporter CATP-6 (human PARK9) as a suppressor specifically repressing mRNAs with translation elongation stalls. We are working to understand this functional link.
