What We are Looking For:

A highly motivated scientist to contribute to the development of our next-generation liquid biopsy platform. In this role, the scientist will investigate the biology of extracellular RNA in cancer. Projects may include the use of cell and organoid models, genomic screens, and biochemical methods. You will be a member of a fast-paced and creative research lab. You will also work in collaboration with Exai Bio’s computational biology team to advance our knowledge of extracellular RNA biology and its clinical applications.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work independently to investigate the biology of extracellular RNA using molecular biology, cell biology and genomics.
  • Design and optimize experiments to meet research lab team objectives.
  • Maintain clear and detailed experimental records, independently analyze and interpret data.
  • Present at lab meetings, help prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Assist in training and supervision of junior research lab team members.

Required / Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent in molecular biology, cancer biology, genomics, or related discipline. 
  • Substantial track record in RNA biology and/or cancer biology. Experience in NGS method development and in cell-free RNA and/or DNA biology is preferred. 
  • Experience with and commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary and collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
