Dr. Kuo-Feng Weng is a virology scientist who has dedicated his career to understanding the molecular mechanisms of viral pathogenesis in in-vitro and in-vivo models. He has his Ph.D. degree in microbiology and immunology from Chang Gung University in Taiwan.

Kuo-Feng has led a number of research projects in Taiwan, where he has worked 1) to answer questions related to EV-A71 infection in particular during its outbreak in that country and 2) in the fields of RNA biology, protein biology, antiviral discovery, and in-vivo model establishment. These efforts have led to insights into viral pathogenesis and have contributed to the development of new treatments for viral infections.

In 2017, Dr. Weng joined Peter Sarnow's laboratory at Stanford University. His research at Stanford has identified the novel translation of neuronal circular RNAs and uncovered the association between B cell activities and EV-A71 pathogenesis. He has also participated in projects related to DENV and HCV infections.

Dr. Weng's work has been published in 20 scientific journals. He is committed to advancing our understanding of viral pathogenesis and developing new treatments for viral infections.
