I am a second year PhD student in Kathy Collins's lab in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley. I am interested in transcriptional regulation and chromatin structure of the highly repetitive ribosomal DNA, as well as how these features affect retrotransposon insertion into this site.
