I am a PhD candidate in the Stephen Floor lab at UCSF. I am passionate about science overall, but I am currently interested on the intersection between RNA biology and biomolecular condensates and their function in mammalian organisms. My thesis project focuses on expanding our understanding on the function of G3BP stress granules during the Integrated Stress Response. I use a combination of molecular and biochemical techniques coupled with fluorescence microscopy and RNA sequencing to elucidate the role of G3BP stress granules on gene expression and cellular recovery from stress.
