Dr. Joanna Kovalski is a postdoc in the lab of Dr. Davide Ruggero at University of California, San Francisco. The goal of Dr. Kovalski’s postdoctoral research is to understand how cancer signaling through control of translation remodels protein expression to support tumor development and metastasis. She received her PhD in Cancer Biology from Stanford University in the lab of Dr. Paul Khavari, where her thesis work examined novel protein-protein interactions of the oncogene Ras in cancer.
