Staff Scientist

Rhiju Das, Stanford University

Grace Nye is a lab technician working at Stanford University in the Das Lab. She graduated in 2022 from the University of Dallas with a degree in biochemistry, and she is planning on pursuing a PhD in biochemistry or biomedical informatics or a career in industry. She is currently working to identify pseudoknotted structures in SARS-CoV-2, which are unique and often functionally important secondary structures that compose potential targets for antiviral medications. She identified potential structures using multiple RNA secondary structure prediction algorithms and is currently working to resolve their 3D structure using CryoEM. Outside of work, Grace loves to hike with her dog, drink coffee, and play the piano.
