I am a Biomedical Engineering Ph.D. candidate at the University of California, Santa Cruz with a research interest in cancer research and evolutionary genomics. I am conducting my thesis research in the Vollmers Lab with a focus on the heredity of immunity. My thesis project is to trace the evolutionary trajectory of the adaptive immune system using a wide range of sequencing technologies to analyze the adaptive immune receptor loci across an array of vertebrate species.
