I am a Professor of Microbiology at Eastern Washington University, which is a regional comprehensive university in Cheney, WA. I teach five courses per year and maintain a research program with undergraduate and Master's students. My research is focused on three lines of investigation - understanding riboregulation of Helicobacter pylori virulence, Manuka honey impact on bacterial physiology, and engineering Lactococcus lactis to produce anti-inflammatory molecules.
