Many of us are stuck at home. Others are able to find some time in the lab, with social distancing in place and with masks on half our faces. By now, you may not quite remember what your colleagues nose looks like. You may be tired of Zoom. This year we are organizing a few Virtual Reality events and this page provides some initial overview of our plans.

To promote collaboration and interaction we will be setting up a Virtual Reality Lobby where attendees can meet and mingle. We are also planning some workshops where we can share and discuss RNA protein structures that you quite literally hold in your virtual hand.

Some of you may already own a Virtual Reality headset and have experience navigating this alternate reality. For those of you who are new, we are suggesting that you consider purchasing the Oculus Quest 2 headset. It's certainly less than the cost of attending a major conference and you can use it for a whole lot more, again and again.

For those who are interested in attending, please RSVP when you register. If you've already registered, simply update your profile page by checking the RSVP button. We'll share more details in November including the specific software and we will likely hold a 'practice event' to help everyone get set up in time for the big event.

This should be fun!
