The Ramp (855 Terry Francois St.; head east on 16th then right on Illinois and left on Terry Francois) – Informal outdoor eating by the shore of the bay. Soups, sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips. $12-20.
Chez Papa (1401 18th Street at Missouri St) – nice French bistro, very good food. Indoor and outdoor seating. $15-25.
Eliza’s (1457 18th Street between Connecticut and Missouri Sts) – Chinese. Good food, especially for the price, and very fast service. $7-10.
Aperto (1434 18th Street at Connecticut St) – attractive modern Italian restaurant, very good food. $15-25.
Goat Hill Pizza (300 Connecticut St at 18th St) – neighborhood pizza place. Pizzas (whole or slices) and pasta. $8-12.
Moshi Moshi (2092 3rd Street, near the corner of 18th Street) – Sushi/Japanese. Standard American Japanese restaurant fare. Nothing fancy but decent sushi, friendly atmosphere. $10-20.
Sally’s (300 De Haro St at 16th St) – good breakfast food anytime, plus sandwiches, salads, burgers and burritos. Also sells box lunches. $8-12.
